Most recent knitting projects

July 1st, 2008 Posted in Knitting

I had a baby shower over the weekend, so I knitted up these two little projects to go with some onsies and the Eric Carle’s “The Hungry Caterpillar.” I knitted them both with size 3 needles and used Lion Brands’ organic cotton. The tulip hat is from Knitting at Knoon (Li’l Sunhats Pattern) and the pacifier clip is from Susan B. Anderson’s “Itty-Bitty Nursery,” which is one of my favorite knitting for baby books. I have also made the pacifier clip that is the little elephant and it was rather cute too, but I forgot to get a picture (you can see a similar one HERE). My other favorite baby knitting book is “Natural Knits for Babies and Moms.” There are just gorgeous and simple, timeless projects in there.

(Edited: I just went to Susan Anderson’s site and you can download the free flower pacifier clip HERE.)

Anyway, my projects got many oohs and ahhs and Ali couldn’t believe I made them. She said she totally would have bought them from a store if she saw them. I think they turned out pretty cute.

I think I’ve got this knitting thing down and I am always so excited to try new projects. Right now I am knitting a baby blanket for someone that is taking FOREVER. As soon as I finish, I will post a picture.

Just wanted to say Hi and hope things are going well. Did you get the house? So looking forward to seeing you in august. Hope to hear from you soon! Love Teresa

These are adorable! They make the perfect baby shower gift and remind me of a little hat I had for Charlie that had a green stem and a pea pod on the top.

Good luck with all the house stuff!
