Knitting Projects

February 2nd, 2008 Posted in Knitting

So last week I finally started some knitting projects, including this one that my mom wanted. She bought the pattern and got me some yarn that she often finds at her dollar store and away I went, knitting and purling until the wrist warmers were done. I think they turned out pretty cute!

Wrist Warmers
Needles: size 7 12″ circs
Yarn: Moda-Dea Cheerio (brown sparkly) and Cache (colored)
Pattern:

Time to Complete: 2-3 Days

I also had a ton of leftover yarn, so I knitted this as well:

It is supposed to be an iPod holder but I think I made it a little wide. Although, maybe it will be good so that she can keep her ear buds in it too or something. She could use it for anything I guess… I just wanted to keep knitting.

And two days ago I finished these (last picture is before felting):

Felted Mocs for the Whole Family
Needles: size 10 (pattern calls for 9)
Yarn: Paton’s Wool
Pattern: 100 Knitting Projects
Time to Complete: 2-3 days

I LOVE THEM!!! I was surprised that I was able to do it, but trust in the pattern and you can succeed (of course you do a lot of ripping out and redoing on the firt one, but so be it). The orginal pattern is from Little turtle knits, but it was published in 100 Knitting Porjects. I think these will make great gifts for my family next year! I can’t wait! I wear mine every day! They are so warm and comfy!

LOVE the warmers and yes i want a pair of the slippers. My feet and hands are always cold. By the way, i had a weird dream last night…i moved to NC. Anyway, please place an order for me on those slippers. How did you do the felting? Felted purses are huge right now. Do you have a pattern for them? Thank you for my warmers. I can’t wait to wear them!
