Broken so Far

The only thing I hate about moving is how much stuff ends up broken. It doesn’t matter how well things get packed, it’s inevitable. So far here is the inventory of broken items:

1 Leaf Candle holder (metal, mind you)
1 Glass Snowflake Votive
1 red-rimmed plate (my fav)
1 Fancy white plate
1 Fiestaware bowl
4 snow bowls (also my favs)
1 pillar candle holder
The drawer to the coffee table (somehow it doesn’t stay in it’s track… a piece is missing, but it’s still usable)
Several dvd cases (thank goodness not the dvds)
A lamp
A large picture frame

Aye, carumba! And I’m still unpacking. Oh well, less to deal with. I also have four boxes of stuff I am getting rid of… bu-bye! So far I have a set of blue-stemmed martini glasses (I don’t drink martinis – thanks anyway mom), 6 blue wine glasses with snowflakes on them (don’t need), a set of blue mixing bowls (no longer have anything blue – notice a pattern here), a yellow oblong serving dish, misc. wine glasses (got new ones from the shower), various steel pans (got new Calphalon ones from the shower), some blue table clothes, and lots of clothes. I have tons that needs to go. Luckily my aunt Kris can probably use some of it and wants to offer some to her step-daughter, Ashley, who doesn’t have much. I think that’s great and I hope she can get some good use out of some of it. It’s good stuff! I wish we were doing the white-trash Christmas this year and regifting b/c I have some pretty great things here.
