Beantown

September 22nd, 2007 Posted in Misc.

Last night my aunt and I went to Beantown, a little bar that is owned by a Red Sox fan and it’s 100% Red Sox supported. Well, everytime we go, we have a ball and meet a couple new people that are cool. And to be honest, you meet just as many Yankee fans as you do Red Sox fans. Anyway, I’ve been meeting some really interesting people there (mostly NYers if you can believe it). And I had no idea how many people down here have so much in common with me. One guy I met is really nice, but we call him Bennett the Barfly… because he’s always there. Super nice, but come on already. Although I guess I cannot say much since I have been in there 2 Fridays in a row. But he brought a chick with him last night that seems cool. If I see her again I might try to hang with her. I also met this really great guy named Kirk. Super nice guy… not drooling over you type thing, that just happens to like not only the Yanks but also the Buffalo Bills. He has offered to take me to some bar here in town where they go to watch the games. I think he could become a really great friend and was really fun to talk to. He actually went away on business and called me from New Orleans to apologize for not calling me in a week. I was like, “Hey. I was gone last weekend and I didn’t really expect a call.” It was pretty nice to have someone to talk to though. I just hope he doesn’t think it’s anything serious because I’m not looking for anything. But a fellow Yankees and Bills fan who likes to go out and may have other friends to meet and hang out with sounds cool.

And this week I start the golf lessons, so I hope to get to know these women. It’s just really easy to meet people here. I love it! And the sunshine certainly helps the depression.

Erin Marie haven’t said much as I watch and listen. But let me say one thing only as your Aunt, you are living with one of the most remarkable women I know. All I can say to you is life does go on. I love the strides you are making and nobody can do them for you GO FOR IT. I have looked and listened to much disqust on the situation. Just be true to yourself. I would like to say I know all but I don’t. Kris has been through much and listen to her and grow and life does get better. My two cents for what it is worth. I love you and I care and there is life afterwards. Know that I don’t spend a day thinking of you and sending good thoughts and prayers your way!

As another Aunt who has been reading along I’m so glad things are getting better. I’m really proud of you for doing so well at work with all you have been through. I know your talent will continue to shine! You are getting a lot of good advice from so many who love you, your mom especially has been fantastic. Thanks to all the other Aunts from me for helping you out.

Ugh, all you sports fans ;)

I’m glad you are making friends E! I’m makings friends too, it will happen eventually. I’m actually kinda jealous you are taking golf lessions. I used to really like playing, but when Chris and I split I stopped (ma, you still have that golf bag), maybe I should take it up again. My boss golfs and I think my friend Jannett does too.

Life will get better and you are so much better on your own, standing on your own two feet. You were always happy in NC living on your own, you can be happy again.
