Change is good.

July 30th, 2007 Posted in Cool Stuff, Reading Room

I would like to introduce, PiecesOfE.com. The domain forwarding isn’t working at the moment, but hopefully it will after a bit of time (I just registered it). If you have erinanddavidd.com bookmarked, don’t worry…. it is paid through October 4 or something, so you have a few months to change your bookmark before it goes away forever. Played with a banner idea too and sorta like what I got… need a better picture b/c the one that I used is not in focus, but HELL, neither is my life so I guess it fits. And the grumpy face I have on is rather fitting too. We’ll leave it for now.

I also went to the book store today and got a few self help relationship books:

I’m also reading my Harry Potter when I get time, which isn’t much these days. And today I realized something… I need to meet my next man in Borders if David and I cannot patch things. I think I will start hanging out there on Friday and Saturday nights, sipping my coffee and reading. Hey, it’s better than a bar, right? Plus I can improve myself by reading and doing research. And I decided I need a new man checklist and it will inlude (#5 is the new one – the others were all there before and just never written down):

1. Must be intelligent
2. Must be funny
3. Good-looking wouldn’t hurt either
4. Must cook
5. MUST READ!!! (hey, it turns me on that a man would want to better himself and learn – and it is something David did not do)

I also bought a very simple journal to write in… not that I don’t want to write here, but I don’t think the f-bomb is very appropriate reading material for my family and quite frankly I want to write it every other word right now… and so, the writing journal. I’ve tried a journal before and I don’t uaully keep up on them for long, but maybe this will be different… could be a best-selling novel someday. My life is certainly dramatic enough.

And then there is this song: Beautiful Disaster by Jon Mclaughlin.

She loves her mama’s lemonade,
Hates the sounds that goodbyes make.
She prays one day she’ll find someone to need her.
She swears that there’s no difference,
Between the lies and complements.
It’s all the same if everybody leaves her.
And every magazine tells her she’s not good enough,
The pictures that she sees make her cry.
And she would change everything, everything just ask her.
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster,
And she needs someone to take her home.
She’s giving boys what they want, tries to act so nonchalant,
Afraid they’ll see that she’s lost her direction.
She never stays the same for long,
Assuming that she’ll get it wrong.
Perfect only in her imperfection.
She’s not a drama queen,
She doesn’t want to feel this way, only seventeen but tired
She would change everything for happy ever after.
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster,
But she just needs someone to take her home.
Cuz she’s just the way she is, but no ones told her that’s ok.
And she would change everything, everything just ask her.
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster,
And she would change everything for happy ever after.
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster,
But she just needs someone to take her home
And just needs someone to take her home.

Why is it that when you go through something like this, all of a sudden every song fits perfectly and makes you freaking cry! I like this one too: Better Than Me by Hinder.

I LOVE this!! Both the name and the banner are so creative. You should NEVER doubt the immense talents you possess. I really think this is a brand new beginning with exciting prospects on the horizon. Look out world cuz my E is coming!

Love it…good first step! I really like the photo!
I can recommend many more useful books if you like- ask Kris about the book on transitions recommended by Marty.
I also think songs fit- look at the family page and all the ones I have been putting up!.
This is a good first step to RECLAIMING Erin Marie- you go girl. You don’t need to give piece of your heart and soul or settle for what little scraps of love someone will give- here is faith…to trust there is a reason and something better on its way.
NOw you need to just concentrate on you.
PLease try to get to NC to watch the girls…
PS I love you so much and am always here for you- never forget that!
